Rachel Goslins: Director
Rachel Goslins is a documentary director and producer. Her short film, Onderduiken, on her family's history in hiding in Holland during WWII, is used in civil rights curricula for Northern California high schools. Her first feature documentary, 'Bama Girl, following a black woman running for Homecoming Queen at the University of Alabama premiered at SXSW in 2008, and aired on the IFC Channel last fall. In television, she has worked on productions for National Geographic, Discovery, PBS, A&E and the History Channel.
In addition to her work in production, she was the Programming Director for the Impact Film Festival, and the Director of the Independent Digital Distribution Lab, a joint PBS/ITVS project focused on distributing independent films online. Currently, Rachel Goslins serves as the Executive Director for the President's Committee on Arts and Humanities.
